Speaking as the husband of a veterinarian who has brought more cats through the house than I can count:

You could rescue a cat from drowning, save all its kittens from being eaten by wolves, give it a food-filled palace as a home, including Persian rugs on which to sharpen its claws and an entire warehouse of newspapers to sit on while owners are trying to read them - and it would still leave you at the drop of a plush toy.

"Loyal" and "cat" do not belong in the same sentence, unless there's a negative in there somewhere.

Which leads to the question: Why do I like them so much?
