Much of the main information is right under your nose in SA and SD. AR used them to set the scene and establish the characters for the rest of the series. The bit about the held back information came from Abbot Hall Art Gallery and Museum, in otherwords TARS HQ itself.
Most of the rest came from Museums and from the owners of Huyton Hill itself. Plus documents from the Crossleys. The connection that I made to "Esperance" came from Huyton Hill and was backed up by info from Roger Wardale
and the WSM.

Roger told me that in a letter from AR, AR said the best way to keep a secret was not to answer questions! I would love to know what the dark secret is that has had to be kept for so long.
