Are any Boat owning TARS going to be staying at Holly Howe between the 11th and the 20th of June next year. If there is then would they make themselves known to Me. If possible I would like to cadge a lift to and from Peel Island. The last time I sailed my self, I ended up aground on a submerged rock in Secret Harbour entrance. I don't want to go through that again! There never seems to be any TARS there, when I am there.
The Dogs Home Controversy
Talking of Coniston Water. I took a look at "The Dogs Home". The stream is lower than the hut so how could the stream flow past the doorway and almost come in the door as described in PM. Also there is no pool for the milk, just outside the door. AR's description is that the water was deep enough to put a milk bootle in and keep it cool. There is a location matching AR's description but is is in Fenny Coppice near Huyton Hill and it does have a beck called HOGS HOUSE BECK which flows into the grounds of the real "Beckfoot" through a pipe under the road.
As far as I am aware no Northern TARS have even attempted to explore this one, despite it's location matching AR's description in PM.
If Northern TARS have explored it since I last heard, could they get in touch via Dave Sewart.
