I'm still in the boggy fields of Cheshire, Andy. And at the moment I am looking high and low for my copy of Thirty-nine Steps, but can't lay hold of it. There is an irony in the views expressed on Tarboard about Buchan - the 'overseas' correspondents are defending him to the hilt, while we Brits have serious doubts about his views. Hmmm.
I have just visited the John Buchan Society website, but they do not appear to have a 'Forum'. What they are doing is discussing where the real 'Artinswell' is - literary buffs are all the same ! No doubt some keen Buchanites are preparing details of how Artinswell was supplied with water . . .
