I recently made a bunloaf to an authentic handed-down-3-generations-in-the-NW-of-England recipe, and since it is nearly Christmas, and I like marzipan, there's only one logical thing to do....

The bunloaf recipe is very similar to the usual fruit cake you get at Christmas, but there is no egg, just milk and treacle to bind it. Plus lots of spice! I don't think I made mine spicy enough.

Have you ever tried a Ransome-ish recipe?
