Well we are into our seventh day without power caused by the fall of a very large limb of an oak tree that pulled the electrical mast from our house and also totalled our car.
We are surviving with an extension cord over the back fence and by boiling many pots of water on our gas stove.
We did manage to roast a turkey and had Christmas dinner for ten in the afternoon while there was still some light.
It is getting a bit wearing.
Now I'm off to buy a car.
