Re Mrs. Blackett = Margaret; I don't recall a reference to her with that name, only as Mops or Molly, which could be a diminutive of Mary. I also don't remember any description of her as "fat" - "rather a little woman, not really much bigger than Nancy and very like her" (Swallows and Amazons). She is described as "round" in Pigeon Post, but, I think, not "fat".
