Roger Wardale, in his message at the link, gave an email address for, I assume, the project manager for the restoration work being undertaken to The Dog's Home.

Like Roger and some others, I believe that the window should be left unglazed (and unshuttered), so that 'our' Dog's Home remains as it has always been since any of us first knew about it.

If you agree, please add your voice to the list of those writing. The more people who tell the Forestry Commission that we'd prefer they retain the historic building in the condition it has always been known (and incidentally save some public expenditure by doing so), the more likely they are to listen.

The email address Roger gives is -- mark.burchall@forestry.gsi.gov.uk

I'm sure Mark is a reasonable chap, and if we can collectively give him sufficient evidence to omit the glass from the window then that's what he'll do.
