Who or What is Jock

Does anybody know the true identity of Jock. He appeared on Tarboard and replied to my enquiries but then vanished again without giving his proper name. I am wondering if Jock is an alias of somebody else in TARS, Jock's appearance does seem too convenient to be coincidence.
