Lovely drawings, Mike D.
I do agree with Mike J, that in pre refrigeration days, the larder would have been on an outside wall (usually a North wall – failing that an East wall).

A house of this stature and age would have probably had a scullery as well as a kitchen. There is also a mention of a larder as well as a pantry.

As coal or wood were the only means of heating – an internal coal storage place might be needed, perhaps holding 5-10 cwts. This would have reqiuired an outside and inside door. Larger quantities might have been kept in the pigeon loft/ workshop building.

Presuming the cooking stove also provided hot water, the there would doubtless be an airing cupboard containing a hot water tank next to the bathroom. There would probably have been cupboards under the stairs and elsewhere for cleaning equipment.

Normally in houses of this age, the fireplace was situated in the wall opposite the door. This usually placed them on the outside wall, with much heat loss, but coal was cheap if you could afford it.
