I think you have to use the extension .JPG even if you've used .jpg on your computer.

Are you sure? I'll try posting a picture from the 1920s of my uncle rowing down the Rhone- not a river people usually row up.

I had a lot of trouble getting that to work. First I tried to post a more relevant picture of Brantwood, but it was 1.3MB in size, and gave me an error message 'Error: no picture was uploaded'. My uncle picture is 782KB and uploaded fine, so maybe there's a file size issue. Then, the click to view failed- it couldn't find the file, but the filename had spaces in it (I'm using a Mac, which is happy with spaces in filenames, but maybe Unix/Windows isn't?) Finally I changed the filename to one word and it seems to work. Whoosh...
So anyway, the lower case .jpg is okay, if that's the filename. But don't have spaces in the name- I dare say underscores will do, but I didn't think of that. As I say, I use a Mac...
