Here in the land of Secret Water much is the same but change is creeping on us. A visitors centre is to be built on the Naze for seemingly spurious reasons, altering it from a natural public space to a 'tourist attraction' - despite the local council purchasing the area in the 1960s promising it would be a public open space. As it is naturally crumbling in to the sea with every passing year it wont be long before it has all disappeared, but at least it will have done so because of the force of nature and not local politicians.
Witch's Quay is much the same, though the Witch's cottage has been renovated most AR readers would recognise it. Quay house was raised up twenty odd years ago so though it does not resemble what AR described exactly it is still there.
