Me too.
The Children's Hour "Box of Delight's was one of the 'Greats' and was broadcast three times over a twelve year period. The wonderful adaptation was by one, John Kier Cross and the haunting music was from Victor Hely-Hutchinson's Carol Symphany.
There is a modern CD dramatised version which is 'reasonable', and a better 'made for TV series' DVD with Patrick Troughton, that is rather magical. If the young ones don't like it they should see a doctor!
It's great fun to read aloud with lots of different voices to adopt, but it's rather long and needs heavy adaptation.
