We (ATR) have just received an e-mail from Sarah Elliott (nee Dobinson) in the U.K. about an upcoming auction of her father's collection of ten original S&A novels. In addition there is an original AR response card sent to her father in 1939 which is part of the auction. The auction is at the Dominic Winter Auction on Thursday 18th December - http://www.dominicwinter.co.uk/.

The card's contents are of interest to AR researchers and fanciers also, as AR is actually giving information on places in the S&A books:

"Rio is Bowness on Windermere but you will find that I have done a lot of scene-shifting, mixing somethings from Coniston with Windermere, partly for the sake of disguise. E.g. White Cat Island's harbour is really taken from the harbour at the South end of Peel Island on Coniston, and given to a Windermere island. And the Old Man is Kanchenjunga. I am not sure if the shelter is still at the head of Windermere. It used to be."

I think this is probably the auctioneer's transcription of the text on the card, "White Cat" is clearly "Wild Cat". Also I have no idea what the "shelter at the head of Windermere" is unless it is the original of the North Pole, assuming it ever existed.
