Document 265 from the Recently released "Revelations From The Russian Archives" relates to "NKVD account of diamonds smuggled abroad to support foreign Communist parties". Guess who did the smuggling? E Shelepina and Arthur Ransome. They took l,039,000 rubles worth out of the country on October l6, l922.
