i tried sending a long and probably windy reply to the really? but i'm not sure what happened to it. anyway the gist of my dissertion was that the ones such as rl stien are literally everywhere and derive a lot of their sales apeeal from slick tv merchanding and tie-ins where as the greats do not, except as watered down disney-ish balderizations. perhaps we should look at new ways to promote ar. say groundswell of support for broadcast or rebroadcast of the movies on specialty cable or satellite channels? or maybe the thing to do is to expose him as anti-politically correct; kids having fun without adults running their every move, no apparent sexual ovetones, pretend violence, no lifejackets, lawbreaking etc. as the "great experts" seem to feel he is too old or passe to place in certain bookstores and convenience store stalls where many such books are bought from what is available, maybe the noteriety would get the kids interested enough to read the books and watch the three movies? or am i just dreaming.
