I don't have any figures on Lippincott printings; unfortunately, the publisher's records seem to have disappeared without trace. There could well have been more than one printing in 1931, the book was popular enough in the U.S. The Lippincott Ransomes also were published by the Junior Literary Guild, under their imprint.

Which is more desirable, the Cape or the Lippincott? To a serious Ransome collector, both would be desirable, as the first illustrated editions, and each is interesting for its art.
