Let me recommend Dave Thewlis' fine work in securing North American format video of the BBC's documentary on Arthur Ransome. He may have a few copies at US$25 for TARSUS folks if you contact him. With the exception of a few "finger-dappling in the lake" scenes that repeated and repeated (perhaps as filler) throughout the film, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Particularly nice was seeing our various esteemed TARS members and, of course, AR's relatives. The flow of the narrative and the flow of the visual scenes went very well together, a well-matched voice-over. Well, happy new year to all and thanks for reading my rambling!
