I find private musings (i.e. within TARS) about the future lives of AR's characters harmless and sometimes good fun (I did suggest in response to the first Distilled Enthusiasms that Nancy may have gone on to found a lesbian commune, but Rodney Dingle obviously wasn't impressed). However, I would be totally against attempts to write sequels, or prequels, on interquals or whatever (though it would be nice to know what happened on the lake after PM ends and the Swallows arrive). I concur with the opinion that very very few good sequels have been written -- look at the pathetic attempts to follow up The Wind in the Willows for example.
