Hilary - I hope you can access this via 'Message Titles' - I think I wrongly called it 'Message Numbers' when we discussed Tarboard troubles this afternoon. You'll find a possible series of commands for updating the main Tarboard page in Ian E-N's Message 4226. Unfortunately it's a short-term remedy (at least in my case), but it's the best so far.
