Thank You Ian for the link to Ransom's writing re: the revolution. Even if they fail, they will none the less have written a page of history more daring than any other which I can remember in the story of the human race." Aparently, Ransom was more than sympathic. Having aided in smuggling precious gems to the west to fund communist party activities he was taking active role in the global spread of communism. I wonder if any of his activities were connected with soviet support of the American commuist party in the eary part of this century.
