Hmmm. This particular thread has got me a-thinking. Have we been wasting our time and energy for the last 2 years arguing on Tarboard about the constitution, copyright, sequels, the number of full stops in Secret Water etc? Now that there are (I'm happy to say) more and more female correspondents appearing on Tarboard, have the site proprietors taken on board what might happen here? For example should I message Ms. Downs inviting her to compare chocolate one evening if she's still ships-boyish? Is this what Ian means by 'private matters should be continued by e-mail'?
