The following item is taken from this mornings The Times. I know that some people
did not like him as Uncle Jim but I always thought that he was rather good in the
part.

Actor Fraser dies aged 66

THE actor Ronald Fraser died last night at Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust,
north London, after having suffered an internal haemorrhage. He was 66.
Fraser had been joking with his two daughters, Fiona and Alison, and a few
friends, a spokesman said.

Born in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, he made a name for himself in
television and stage roles often as a blustering upper-class gent. His television
credits included The Misfit, Pennies from Heaven, Brideshead Revisited,
Fortunes of War, Boon, Lovejoy and Taggart, and his films included The
Killing of Sister George and The Wild Geese.
