Sorry, Dave, I should not have defined 'publish' in such simplistic terms. Posting copyrighted material on a public website without permission is an infringement in the UK. However I foresee no problem at all at simply extending the blanket permission (which extends to all TARS material, written or electronic) to a Fan Fiction site. I suggest as a matter of courtesy that this be cleared first with the Lit Executors.

(The reproduction of copyright material not for profit can still be an infringement. The copyright owner's remedy is to stop you. If, however, you've made a fortune by reproducing it, the owner will put in a huge damages claim as well. Academic? Well, as someone has said, who knows what undiscovered and readership-pleasing talent lies in TARS?)
