Prompted by this thread, I've been looking at one of two 'fan fiction'
sites and have discovered that they are most effective, and - it appears -
most successful when they are most scandalous. The 'Due South' site, for
example, is marked by its contributions which imagine a homoerotic
relatinship between Benton (the Canadian mountie) and Ray (the Chicago cop).
These are well-written and quite funny, but I cannot help wondering what the
reaction of other TARS (let alone our lords and masters the Trustees) would
be to descriptions of the torrid affair beween Tom Dudgeon and Titty Walker,
let alone that between Timothy and Captain Flint. Would not a solution be
to set up a Ransome Fan Fiction site separate from the 'official' TARS
site?

Nervously,

Tim
