Its interesting to see TARS running scared. When telling porkies about SA's origins didn't work. They are now trying to rubbish the truth. Abbot Hall was right after all about SA's origins. All the attempts to silence investigations in that area shows there IS something to hide in the murky past of TARS and SA. You do make an interesting point however. Did AR hide the truth to stop tourists tramping over the grounds of the real Beckfoot and annoying the owners. Nobody at TARS has even thought of that as the published books on the subject show.
