Talking of boats on Coniston, I occasionally have a look at ‘Club Hut’, out there on its own, locked forlornly in the ice with unlighted windows and cold chimney. It’s months since anyone was aboard her. All I can see through the cabin window is an old TARS regional map lying on its side. I’d go aboard myself, but I’ve lost the key, and anyway, like Peggy, I don’t fancy being there alone. Would anyone be interested in forming a boarding party to ‘air the cabin’? Perhaps Ian could send the tobacco tin (no need to bake it, I hope).
