Cool it Iain! Shaking the apple tree won't bring down any apples if it's really a rose bush. If I were you I would carry on with the research and when you have enough material consider publishing. When you are ready the Literary Executors (not the same thing as Tars Literary Committee) might be persuaded to release some of the material you need. If you are going to proceed with this quest you will need all the allies you can get and upsetting the Tars will just make everything more sticky. Abuse is no substitute for scholarly research.
