Rather belatedly glancing through the entries for the above, I see that Adam Quinan recommends "Blue at the Mizzen" by Patrick O'Brian. The spelling of O'Brian caught my attention. I knew I had seen it somewhere before. In AR's Library in fact. In his collection he had three books by O'Brian: The Frozen Flame. The Golden Ocean. The Unknown Short. (Short?) If anyone has any of these volumes I would be interested to hear from you.
