Sorry to quash a nascent conspiracy theory but only reason was that
traditionally fools jokes in April are for one day only - so I tidied
them up after a few days.
No one I know was upset and no one's in a position to influence me greatly
even if they were, only actual problem for me was characterisation of
club hut posters as whiners. In my many years of press ganged
servitude before the mast of various committees I've noticed
the tendency for people to complain at the apathy of members
and their reluctance to become involved. How a society
treats members who show an interest has always been of
interest to me.
