Could anyone English-speaking friend explain what kind of
molasses it is that Mrs Dixon gives to the Swallows ?
Molasses is Tittys name of Mrs Dixon´s toffees.
Mrs Dixon put it in a paper bag, but as far as I know molasses is
a sweet fluid that is given to cows (for god behaving ?).
Maybe molasses is some old form of sweets, as it is
mentioned in the same sentence as pemmican in stead of beef.
