While backs were turned, Brian Hopton’s team managed to place their ‘Owden’ in a superbly prominent position on p 29 of Signals, and walked off with the prize – a large dunce’s cap which will be presented at a future meeting by George himself, accompanied by the usual scathing comments and letter from his ‘solicitor’.
