Hello all. This message comes to you via the good offices of your National Junior Co-ordinator. This isn't so much to do with Arthur Ransome, but rather sea shanties, and one in particular. Those naval historians amongst you will be aware of the expedition undertaken in 1845 by Sir John Franklin to find the fabled North-West Passage. I know that as a result of this a song was written under the title of 'Franklin's Men', which had the opening line:
'Give me one more chance to find the North-West Passage...'
I think it has been recorded at some time. So, does anyone out there know the full lyric of it, or else where I could get a recording? Any help would be appreciated. Over to you...
