Sorry Southern TARS, at present Hale-Bopp can best be seen in the northern hemisphere,
and only a little way over the equator. If you can see Ursa Major (The Plough, Great Bear,
Big Dipper, King Charles Wain, etc. etc.) you may be able to see Hale-Bopp. The good news
is that it is heading your way.
Of course most of the good comets of the last twenty years or so have been best seen from the
Southern Hemisphere, so you have not got too much to complain about!
