My eldest daughter posed an interesting question today, which has had me racking my brains. I don't see why a few more brains shouldn't be racked. The question is, can you think of any character in the series who has a romantic involvement but is not married, other than Mary Swainson? We know that none of the children get involved. At the back of my mind I feel there is a minor character somewhere who refers to a young man or a young woman of hers or his respectively, but I can't place the reference and haven't the time to read through the canon. Any suggestions?
