I don't think you can make that assumption, Prue. In fact I suspect rather the reverse --
an otherwise interested publisher might shy off if any possible question existed (that they knew of)
about rights to the characters, unless your book so enthused them that they were willing to take up
cudgels and lance and go to the mat for you. (I think that's a new record for mangled metaphors.)
