What a great weekend I had with TARS at my first AGM (I came aboard in January). The organisation was remarkable, something for everyone.
The highlights for me were sailing in Cochy, the ascent of Kanchenjunga, and the Shanties around the campfire with the Choclateers.
As those who were stationed in South Camp commented at the time Friday night was particularly cold and I would like to thank the Skipper and First Mate of the Falcon for the use of a spare padded coat as extra protection aainst the elements thereafter. On the way to lakeside on the steamer I thought I saw the house and boat-house used for Beckfoot in the 1974 film. It was about half way between Bowness and Lakeside on the western shore. Can anybody confirm this?
