Peter, regarding the copyright for the 1974 film of Swallows and Amazons - I'm finding it difficult to pin down ay the moment. According to Channel 4 (UK) the copyright is held by the French TV company Canal+!!! I'll try this one, but does anyone know any better? Just to remind you all, I'm trying to gain permission to reproduce an image from the film originally owned by Anglo EMI Ltd and would be grateful for any further information.
