I have noticed, as most other readers of the AR books must have done,
that no mention is ever made of toilet facilities. The S & As must
have dug latrines if they spent any time on the Island and elsewhere.
Even the plans of the boats they sailed provide no amenities of any kind.
Although with the heavy starchy meals they ate, they probably suffered
from constipation most of the time. Was reference to this topic
forbidden in the 1930's?
