Roger was an expert in the treatment of Asthma. He worked with the Fisons pharmaceutical company and helped to develop a drug called Intal. My young friend Oliver here in New Zealand, a Tar and a particular fan of Roger Walker, is also an asthmatic, and he was particularly thrilled to learn that the prototype of his book hero develped a drug which he needs to take all the time.
Incidentally, Fisons were very generous supporters of the original appeal to restore Amazon which in turn caused the establishment of TARS.
