Bridget has her second birthday on the ninth day of SA, in “The Birthday Party” (ch 16, p 168). In SD Mary Walker says after Kanchenjunga (page 411) “it’ll be Bridgie’s birthday in a few days .... and I thought we’d have her birthday on the island ... “. But on page 38 of SD (ch 2) she is already three years old. Isn’t AR getting ahead of himself here, as she is not quite three?
And Roger’s age of seven in SA is given at the beginning of both SA and SD.
