Couldn't agree more. For many years we lived in a one-man household, until the birth of my only son, and many times I found the girls' picture books 'defaced' - you know the sort, Snuffy the Steam Engine type things - with every "he" and "him" crossed out and replaced with "she" and "her". My son finds docmination by bossy girls to be quite normal! He did notice, esp after WDMTGTS, that the children don't like people seeing them cry which, and I quote "can be quite dangerous, you shouldn't keep things hidden inside you like that".
