Actually Jim, Bob and Molly (or Mary?) left a farthing with the head of Queen Victoria on the summit of Kanchenjunga.

The S & A’s leave Roger’s new halfpenny (why would he have a halfpenny when camping?).

Mrs Blackett is Molly in the names from 1901 in the box on Kanchenjunga (SD ch 27 p335), but the GA starts the testimonial letter at the end of PM (ch 30 p 301) “My dear Mary”. When Jim is comforting her (SD ch 17 p 222) he uses their private name “Mops”. So is Mary her baptised name, and Molly or Mops are private names like "Nancy" for Ruth?
