My understanding of the problem tells me that Peter R's suggestion is quite right (for Internet Explorer) and is basically a work-round to overcome a problem in Ian's Tarboard server. By following the sequence given by Peter the Internet Explorer cache in your machine is emptied of stored files including previously received Tarboard messages. This overcomes the confusion the browser experiences (poor thing) when it compares the dates of cached files in your computer with any newer ones on Tarboard.
Due to the problem with Ian's Tarboard server the file dates are not correctly defined. Consequently the browser is unable to recognise the newer ones in Tarboard and decides to use the old ones in your cache, so these are the ones you are presented with on the screen, unless you have deleted them in the manner given by Peter.
