I was looking through the current Signals today and noticed a report by Andy on the Midland Region visit to Hilbre Island. I certainly was not referring to that article when I mentioned 'gush'. It is a top-class report. I know Hilbre, and Andy's piece neatly conveys the atmosphere (the Dee Estuary is Cheshire's Secret Water), and it also has lighter touches. In a way Andy has proved my point for me - it can be done. If you want gush, go back a few pages, but I'll leave it there - I understand that Tarpaulin is at present considering the whole question of Signals and where it goes from here.
