"Peter Duck" was made up in the holidays when the Blackett's and Walkers were sailing with Captain Flint. However, the story of Peter Duck did not see the light of day until after Swallowdale had been published.
Swallowdale was my introduction to Arthur Ransome when I was the age of Roger; that is over 65 years ago!! Barbecued Billygoats! It doesn't seem that long ago!
