Peter, I see. However we may have discovered yet another difference in
language -- from your posting it would appear that the use of the word "oddity" can be
presumed to have a negative connotation. I'm not sure that it necessarily conveys that
in the U.S. I think it would be read as meaning only "different and strange", or possibly
"curious" which is clearly what Ed meant by it.
