Narrow roads are also not uncommon in AR's other neck-of-the-woods, ie. Norfolk from where I have just returned. We drove from west of Norwich to the coast on Sunday and never went on any road much wider than the car.

And its harvest time - lots of combines and tractors about. Great fun!

But I would agree - the prize for most hair-raising drives much go to Devon. At least in East Anglia, though the roads may be marrow, you can see over the hedges to what is coming round the next bend. Devon roads are like driving down a 5 foot wide twisting tunnel!
