During a recent visit to Hay on Wye I purchased a small edition of S & A
published in 1953 it says inside the dust cover"This is the first and only cheap edition of an Arthur Ransome book. It will not be reprinted".
The book has a plastic cover and is in perfect condition - despite being a long term AR fan I've never seen this version before. Has anyone else such a copy or know the reason for the "first and only cheap edition"?? Oh, and read the "Nancy Blackett Appeal" info - we don't want to lose her.
