Just to confirm Peter's message, Pauline will be on TV tomorrow evening, discussing the origins of 'The Amazon' - the boat. She will be arguing that the original for the dinghy in Ransome's book was not the Mavis, now displayed in that guise in Windermere's museum, but the Beetle, one of her family's boats that was kept on Coniston at the time of Ransome's visit to her father who was renting Bank Ground Farm at the time Ransome was writing Swallows and Amazons.

The interview will be filmed at Bank Ground Farm tomorrow. If I understand her aright, then it will be broadcast on the programme "North West Tonight" at 6:30.

Regards,

Andy Morley
